Ohio Department of Transportation

On Friday, September 26, 2008, James Beasley, Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation was the guest speaker at the Queen City Club in Cincinnati. Director Beasley’s informative speech outlined the Ohio Department of Transportation Business Plan. “This bold new plan set forth the values goals and initiatives of this department and how ODOT plans to use its personnel and resources to promote safety and reduce congestion on our transportation system, encourage economic development across our state, and advance a multi-modal approach to addressing Ohio’s transportation needs.” Director Beasley concluded his speech with the statement “And so, it’s back to the future or forward to the past.”

Director Beasley, was inducted as an honorary Cabinet Member to the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores by Grand Commodore Bill Morgan (left) and Grand Commodore John J.
